In 2020, fish consumption in Ukraine has grown at a record.
 
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in 2020, 411,000 tons of fish and seafood were imported for an impressive $ 804 million, which is almost $ 60 million more than a year earlier.
 
 
Thus, the average consumption per person per year approached 15 kg.
 
TOP-5 countries of exporters of fish products to Ukraine (in tonnage):
1. Norway - 18.6% or 77,000 tons.
2. Iceland - 13.6% or 56,000 tons.
3. USA - 8.6% or 35,000 tons.
4. Estonia - 8.1% or 33,000 tons.
5. Canada - 5.4% or 22,000 tons.
 
TOP-5 countries of exporters of fish products to Ukraine (in monetary terms):
1. Norway - 27.3% or US $ 219 million.
2. Iceland - 10.9% or US $ 88 million.
3. USA - 10.2% or 82 million US dollars.
4. Canada - 5.2% or $ 41 million.
5. China - 4.7% or US $ 38 million.
